Better Living Foundation & Bring Tennis Back to the Park
QuickStart Tennis of Central Virginia (QCV) is pleased to announce it has received a $3,000 grant from Better Living Foundation for Bring Tennis Back to the Park. This generous contribution will help fund the construction of two regulation courts with blended lines for 60-foot QuickStart courts at the Park and help reinstate a public tennis tradition at the community-owned, nonprofit facility in western Albemarle County. These two regulation courts will also be convertible to up to 12 temporary 36-foot QuickStart courts for kids eight and under to complement the three permanent QuickStart courts that will be built this year. The two regulation courts will be constructed as soon as funding permits.
According to Lynda Harrill, QCV QuickStart Tennis Coordinator, “We and the folks at Crozet Park are so thrilled with the community support Bring Tennis Back to the Park! is receiving. Every donation is greatly appreciated, and hopefully soon we’ll have courts at the park for everyone from age three to 93 to enjoy. Better Living Foundation thought what we’re doing at the park is a ‘great idea’ and stepped up. We hope more people will feel and do the same.”
