USTA/Virginia Tennis Staff

Janine Underwood - Executive Director: Oversees all aspects of USTA/Virginia Tennis, including coordination of all major tennis events throughout the District.  Janine is the Staff Liaison to the Budget & Finance, Grievance & Bylaws, Nominating and Long Range Planning Committees.  CLOAKING  

 

Rob Issem - District Tournament & Rankings Administrator/Information Technologies:  Handles all aspects of USTA Sanctioned Tournaments in Virginia, including state rankings, sanctioning tournaments and publishing tournament information, as well as overseeing IT for the Virginia Tennis District Office. Rob is the Staff Liaison to the Adult Tournaments, Junior Tournaments and Officials Committees.  CLOAKING

 

Betty Wickersham - Office Administrator/Bookkeeper: Handles all day to day office administration and bookkeeping at the Virginia Tennis office.  Betty also coordinates volunteers for USTA/VA special events & programs.  CLOAKING  

 

Shell Wood - Associate Executive Director (located in the Virginia Beach satellite office):  Oversees all aspects of Community Tennis within Virginia, handling programs such as; Community Tennis Associations (CTAs),  Tennis on Campus and Grants, and handles USTA/VA Individual & Organizational memberships and marketing. Alex Chan - Community Tennis Representative (located in the Northern Virginia satellite office): Handles all aspects of National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL), School Tennis programs, High School No-Cut, and multicultural participation. Donny Weed - 10 & Under Tennis/Special Projects (located in the Virginia Beach satellite office): Handles all aspects of 10 and Under Tennis, Adaptive Tennis, Wheelchair Tennis, Tennis in the Parks and major events in Virginia.  Donny is the Staff Liaison to the Wheelchair and Adaptive Tennis Committees.  CLOAKING ; 757.472.2020

 

Matt Barnhart—Jr. Team Tennis District Coordinator/Communications Administrator/Community Tennis Representative (located in the Richmond satellite office): Matt handles all aspects of Jr. Team Tennis in Virginia. Bill Fitzgibbon - District Leagues Administrator:  Oversees all aspects of USTA Leagues in Virginia. These leagues are comprised of USTA Adult League, Mixed, Combo, Combo Mixed, Singles, Senior, Senior Mixed Super Senior, Super Duper, and Tri-level. Bill is the tournament director of all Virginia District League Championships and is the Staff Liaison to the Leagues and Leagues Review Committees. CLOAKING

 

Anna Manilla - Data Entry/Leagues Assistant:  Assists the District Leagues Administrator in all aspects of USTA/VA Leagues, including TennisLink, team codes & match scheduling, Area League Coordinator (ALC) correspondence, and District Championships, as well as assists in all other administrative tasks in the Virginia Tennis District Office.  CLOAKING
